Sports week 2022-23: 

 

Blossom Public School and Jr. College, Narhe organized a sports week, wrestle it out! from 15th December 2022 to 22nd December 2022.

The event began with ground pooja by the Principal, Mrs. Vandana Kharat and inauguration by the chief guest, Dr Pallavi Kavhane and other dignitaries. 

On the inaugural day, the torch was lit and handed over by the chief guest to the ZP match winner students who carried the torch as a symbol of pride and ran through the ground motivating all the fellow students. A march past was performed by all the houses that attracted the audience.

Oath was taken by the school head boy followed by all the student participants.

Our students have made remarkable efforts and won prizes and awards in various matches, to appreciate their talent the achievement list was read on the 1st day of annual sports week.

Our students displayed their talents which added an extra glory to the event and was highly appreciated by all the spectators.

Displays on the inaugural day:

1. Flower Dance ( Nursery students)

2. Fan Dance  ( LKG Students)

3. Yoga display

4. Aerobics

5. Lezim Dance.

Chief guest Dr. Pallavi Kavhane addressed the gathering and inspired our students by her words.

Followed by a speech by Mrs. Agnes Mascarenhas, Director for school program.

At the end, the Principal Mrs. Vandana Kharat proposed a vote of thanks and the inaugural program concluded by the singing the National song.

On all the days of the sports week, various sports events such as cricket, basketball, football, Kho kho, kabaddi etc were conducted and all the students were encouraged to participate in these sports events.

To acknowledge the talent of Kakas and Maushis, a cricket match was conducted for kakas and a relay match was conducted for maushis and the winners  were awarded during the closure ceremony.

The closure ceremony also was a mega event with various matches and displays.

2. Ribbon Dance  ( UKG Students)

3. Teakwondo

The report of sports week was read on this day followed by prize distribution by the chief guest Mr. Abhishek Giri and other invitees of the day.

Chief guest Mr Abhishek Giri addressed the students followed by the Guest of honour Mr. Rashid Shaikh and the Director for school program, Mrs. Agnes Mascarenhas who influenced the students with their words.

At the end, vote of thanks was proposed by the principal, Mrs. Vandana Kharat. 

The winners of various matches performed the victory march and the program concluded by singing the national song.

Overall the week long event was a great success with maximum participation and infinite enthusiasm shown by all the participants.
