Ashadhi Ekadashi Celebration

Ashadhi Ekadashi is an auspicious day of God Shri Vitthal and a prominent festival of the Warkari community. To make children aware of are tradition and greatness of saints who gave the importance of social equality and to inculcate moral values, BPSN celebrated Ashadhi Ekadashi on 28th June 2023 with great enthusiasm at are school premises.

The programme commenced by offering flowers to Vitthal Rukamini idol and Palkhi Pujan done by Campus Director Thite sir, Principal madam Mrs. Vandana Kharat and Vice Principal Sir, Yeshwant Chiltalkar.

Children dressed in colourful traditional attire enthusiastically participated in ‘Bal Dindi’. As many as 500 students participated in the ‘Dindi’ and chanted ‘Jai Hari Vitthal Jai Jai Vitthal’. Children sang bhajans and devotional songs. Some students played the role of Tukaram, Nivrutti Dnyaneshwar, Sopan and Muktai.

The atmosphere was filled with gaiety and spirituality. This celebration encouraged the students to participate in the rich cultural tradition of our country and know more about their heritage. The programme concluded with prasad distribution among the students.

The participation of all children in this palkhi celebration gave a message of social awareness and feeling of oneness.
