Devotees around the world are preparing to celebrate the commencement of Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten-day festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha that begins on September 19 and ends on September 28 this year. This joyous occasion, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi, Ganeshotsav, Vinayaka Chavithi, and Ganesh Utsav, falls on the Chaturthi tithi of Shukla Paksha, a waxing moon period. The celebrations begin with the solemn Avahana or Pran Pratishtha, which includes the lighting of the Deep Prajwala (sacred lamp), taking the Sankalpa (vow), and bringing Lord Ganesha's idol home. Ganesh Visarjan, the grand culmination, entails the immersion of the idol into water. Blossom Public School, Pune celebrated The Ganesh Arti on the ground in front of the Ganesh idol on Thursday , September 21, 2023 in great detail. Puja was done by respected Principal Vandana Kharat ma’am along with the vice principal sir and coordinators. students and teachers sang Ganesh Arti while all the members offered their prayers to the Lord. A Havan was conducted followed by a grand Aarti and Puspanjali respectively. Then the Prasad was distributed among members. Teachers gave information to the students about the Ganesh Chaturthi, various names of lord Ganesha.Teachers also talked about Ashtvinayak Ganesh places.
