Puja Thali Decoration Competition and Rakhi making competition

The Puja Thali Decoration Competition and Rakhi making competition held at our school on July 31, 2024, was a vibrant and colourful event, showcasing the creativity and cultural heritage of our students. The competition was organized by the CCA  Committee and took place in the class room, which was adorned with festive decorations to mark the occasion.

Participants :

Students from class 6th to 10th are participated enthusiastically, bringing in beautifully decorated Thalis and Rakhis  that displayed an array of traditional and innovative designs. Each participant put in great effort to ensure their Thalis and Rakhis stood out, incorporating elements such as flowers, colour threads  and other decorative items.

Objectives:

1.Encourage Creativity: Inspire participants to showcase their artistic skills and creativity in decorating the thali (plate) used in religious rituals.

2. Promote Cultural Traditions: Foster a deeper appreciation for cultural and religious traditions by engaging participants in a meaningful and traditional activity.

3. Community Engagement: Bring the community together, encouraging interaction and bonding among participants and spectators.

4. Enhance Religious Significance: Emphasize the importance of the Thalis in religious rituals, making the worship experience more vibrant and spiritually uplifting.

5. Celebrate Festivals: Add to the festive atmosphere of religious and cultural celebrations by incorporating decorative elements into traditional practices.

6. Educational Purpose: Educate participants and the audience about the significance of the items placed on the thali and their roles in the rituals.

Outcome :

Creativity and Innovation: Students demonstrated impressive creativity and came up with innovative decoration ideas

Skill Development: The activity helped improve fine motor skills, planning, and execution abilities.

Conclusion:

The Puja Thali Decoration Competition and Rakhi making competition was a grand success, with all participants displaying remarkable talent and creativity.
