Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration

Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed annually on July 26th in India to commemorate the victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in the Kargil War of 1999. The day honors the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers who fought in the conflict and serves as a reminder of the resilience and valor demonstrated by the Indian military.

Background: The Kargil War, also known as Operation Vijay, took place between May and July 1999 in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir. The conflict was initiated when Pakistani soldiers and militants infiltrated high-altitude positions in the Kargil sector of the Line of Control (LoC). The intrusion was a breach of the 1972 Shimla Agreement, which mandated that both nations should maintain the status quo on the LoC.

Program Highlights:

1. Welcome Address: The assembly commenced with a warm welcome . Salami  given  by honourable Principal Ma’am Vidhyut Sahare and Vice-Principal Ma’am  Dr.Gouri Kadam. Co-ordinator Rohit Sumbre Sir and Neeta Benke Ma'am.

2. Speeches: Students delivered heartfelt speeches expressing their gratitude towards Soldiers who gave there lives for our nation.

3. Cultural Performances: Various cultural performances such as  songs, and whole Assembly  were presented by7th D class students. Teacher Mrs. Komal Kulkarni gave wonderful speech on Kargil Vijay diwas

It underscores the courage and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers and reinforces the nation's commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
