In this hands-on activity, 1st-grade students of Blossom Public School, New Narhe, were tasked with creating a Shape Exploration Chart. Each student selected and drew different shapes, such as circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, and other basic shapes, on a large chart paper. They were encouraged to decorate their charts with color, illustrations. The activity was designed to engage students in recognizing and classifying shapes while encouraging creativity and fine motor skills. It also provided an opportunity for students to develop their understanding of geometry in a fun and interactive manner. By integrating art with math, the activity instilled the importance of observation and creativity in learning. It encouraged students to look at the world around them and recognize shapes in everyday objects.
