Medicinal Plant Activity at Blossom Public School

Blossom Public School organized a Medicinal Plant Activity to raise awareness among students about the importance of Ayurveda and the role of medicinal plants in daily life. The event aimed to reconnect students with nature and educate them about traditional healing practices.

The session began with an insightful explanation by the Science teacher, who introduced students to Ayurveda, the ancient system of medicine that promotes natural healing. The teacher elaborated on how medicinal plants have been used for centuries to treat various ailments and maintain good health. Examples of commonly used plants, such as Tulsi (Holy Basil), Aloe Vera, Neem, and Turmeric, were discussed, highlighting their medicinal properties and benefits.

As part of the activity, each student brought a medicinal plant sapling from home. The students enthusiastically presented their plants, sharing details about their botanical name, medicinal uses, and how they are used in home remedies. This interactive session helped them understand the practical applications of medicinal plants and encouraged them to take a step towards sustainable living.
